Quartermaster Dry Cow is a prescription-only intramammary antibiotic treatment formulated to prevent and control bovine mastitis during the dry period. Designed for dry cows, this dual-action formulation combines Penicillin G Procaine and Dihydrostreptomycin Sulfate in a slow-release peanut oil base to treat existing udder infections and prevent new infections, particularly those caused by Staphylococcus aureus.

- Dual antibiotic formulation: 1,000,000 units Procaine Penicillin G and 1 g Dihydrostreptomycin per 10 mL syringe
- Extended-release peanut oil base for sustained antimicrobial activity
- Prevents new infections and treats existing infections at drying off
- Supports overall udder health when combined with proper herd hygiene
- Disposable 10 mL syringes for easy and accurate dosing
Directions:
At the last milking prior to drying off, milk out the cow completely. Warm the Quartermaster syringe to body temperature. Choose the desired insertion length (full or partial) and insert the tip into the teat canal. Slowly infuse the entire contents of one syringe into each quarter. Discard the syringe after use. After infusion, dip each treated teat into an effective disinfectant. Do not manipulate the treated quarter again until the cow freshens. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds immediately before using.
Important Notes:
- For dry cow use only; not for lactating cows
- Do not use within six weeks of freshening
- Milk from cows within 96 hours (8 milkings) after calving must not be used for food
- Animals must not be slaughtered for food within 60 days of infusion or within 96 hours after calving
- Antibiotic treatment should be combined with proper herd hygiene and routine teat dipping
